Tell about yourself - your personality, lifestyle, etc.
I have a very unusual life: I am a vegetarian Orthodox Christian who is a medic in the US Army and enjoys mathematics (which is what my degree is in). I make biodiesel, although I don't have a diesel automobile. In addition to owning a piano and violin (I only play the piano), I have several microscopes and an infrared spectrophotometer, which effectively qualifies me as a geek.

What kind of person are you interested in meeting?
A vegetarian who is either a Christian or would consider converting; I will only marry another Christian. Being able to along with a Ravel duet on the piano would be a great plus. Willingness to travel and no aversion to math and science would be helpful since I'm in the Army and plan to switch careers from medic to physician/researcher.

What sort of relationship would you like at this point in your life.
Although I would like to be married before I'm 40, I wouldn't mind a few new friends now.

Which is your favorite religious holiday? How do you like to observe/celebrate?

I did not grow up a Christian.

It affects everything about who I am except the type of reading I enjoy. I still read math books (really). But I listen to different music, have different morals, and very different life goals.

I am a medic, currently working as a physical therapy assistant. I am switching to a career in medical research, although I love my current job.

I love the piano, windsurfing, jogging, and trying to make the world a better place.

Eating meat.

I am from the United States.

My cat died just short of 20 years old. I like cats that think they are dogs, and dogs that are as clean as cats.

I solve problems well. I wouldn't go so far to say that I'm trustworthy since I sometimes procrastinate so much that I can't do all the things I tell myself I will do.

What was the most daring / wild thing you have ever done?
Jumping out of planes is the wildest voluntary thing I do. Some other things I do are wilder but I wouldn't ever choose to do them if given the choice.

What terrifies you?
Spiders. And all the normal things that terrify normal people (nuclear war, chemical weapons, etc). But mostly just spiders.

If you were on a deserted island, and you could choose 3 items to take, what would they be?
An inflatable boat, a charged GPS, and rations.

How is your physical shape? What do you do to keep in shape?
I am quite thin since I often skip too many meals and I'm a vegetarian. I have a pretty normal exercise routine, though.

While looking at a person’s profile, following the picture, what are the first things you look for?
Vegetarian - I don't plan on cooking two meals for the rest of my life.

Christian - maybe it is easier to become a Christian than a vegetarian, but it is still a big life change.
